Modern Slavery Act Policy

Kensingtons Bedding is committed to ensuring that all aspects of our business and supply chain are free from modern slavery and human trafficking, under the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We recognize the importance of maintaining a responsible and ethical business practice that respects the rights and dignity of every individual.

Scope

This policy applies to all individuals working at all levels and grades within Kensington's Bedding, including senior managers, officers, directors, employees (whether permanent, fixed-term, or temporary), consultants, contractors, external third parties, and any other business partners.

Policy Statement

Kensingtons Bedding has a zero-tolerance approach to any form of modern slavery or human trafficking in our operations and supply chain. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships. We implement and enforce systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own business or any of our supply chains.

Responsibilities

  • Management is responsible for creating and implementing effective policies, ensuring their communication, and enforcing them appropriately.
  • Human Resources (HR) is tasked with ensuring that our employment practices are fair, transparent, and free from modern slavery.
  • Supply Chain & Procurement Departments are responsible for ensuring that our supply chain is transparent and free from modern slavery through due diligence, risk assessment, and supplier audits.

Due Diligence Processes

Kensingtons Bedding conducts due diligence on all suppliers, contractors, and business partners to verify compliance with this policy. This includes:

  • Conducting risk assessments to determine the modern slavery risk associated with each new supplier and periodically review existing suppliers.
  • Requiring all suppliers to comply with our Modern Slavery Act Policy as a condition of any contract with them.
  • Engaging in continuous learning and improvement strategies to enhance the effectiveness of our anti-slavery measures.

Training

We will provide training to our staff to ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and our business.

Breaches of This Policy

Any breach of this policy will be taken seriously and may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination. We encourage openness and will support anyone who raises genuine concerns in good faith under this policy, even if they turn out to be mistaken.

Monitoring and Review

This policy will be reviewed annually and may be updated in response to any changes in our business, our supply chains, or legislation.
